Farm Holidays in Cornwall
Farm holidays in Cornwall are perfect for families, couples and groups, whether you are looking for a short break, weekend getaway or longer holiday. With wide open spaces, plenty of fresh air, beautiful countryside and peace and quiet, you'll feel refreshed and revitalised after a stay on a farm.
North Cornwall is quite wild, thanks to the effects of the Atlantic. Renowned for great surf, magical light at St Ives that has inspired many artists over the years, gastronomic delights at Padstow and legends of King Arthur at Tintagel. To the south of Cornwall, the landscape is gentler - rolling hills and hidden estuaries surrounded by trees. Further inland is dramatic Bodmin Moor, with sweeping moorland, granite tors and many local legends.
Many of our farm holidays are right on the coast, but even if you stay further inland, you will always be close to the coast, making this a great county for water sports enthusiasts, sun seekers and keen fishers. For walkers, a wonderful way to experience the stunning cliffs, beaches and vistas of Cornwall is to walk on the South West Coast Path, which runs along the whole Cornish coastline. If you prefer pedal power instead, the Tarka Trail is a must, linking Padstow on the coast with Bodmin inland.
The mild climate has given rise to many beautiful gardens all over the county. My favourite has to be the Lost Gardens of Heligan, buried for years after the gardeners left for war, and recently rediscovered. Nearby is also the famous Eden Project with the largest covered rainforest in the world.
There is so much to see and do in Cornwall, but if you fancy just getting away from it all, sitting back and relaxing, a farm holiday would be ideal. Surrounded by countryside, you'll instantly feel a sense of calm and tranquility. Spend your days exploring the farm, meeting the animals, learning more about farm life, discovering local wildlife and soaking up the sounds of nature.
