Still Sisters, Frome

Sisters Hannah and Tori create a range of gins in their bespoke copper still called Storm. They use locally grown and sourced botanicals from family businesses including watercress from organic beds near their distillery, lavender from a local family farm in Wiltshire and Dabinett apples from Perry’s Cider Orchard. Their Somerset Cider Dry Gin and range of London Dry Gins including their signature gin, lavender, rose and hibiscus and Christmas gins, are all available to buy online.
E18hteen Gin, Woolmersdon

On the edge of the Quantock Hills, the E18hteen Gin distillery in Woolmersdon handcrafts an astonishing array of Somerset gins and gin liqueurs. As well as their London Dry Gin, they have a zesty Italian lemon gin, rhubarb and orange gin and at least eight gin liqueurs including blackberry, coconut, gingerbread, Morello cherry, parma violet, passionfruit, rose and strawberry. Friary Drinks, Frome

From the same ladies at Still Sisters, comes a range of gin liqueurs lovingly created and bottled in Somerset by Hannah, their mistress distiller. Choose from elderflower, rhubarb and ginger, sloe, bramble, raspberry and even Christmas gin liqueur, all available to buy online.

The Bath Distillery began beneath the Canary Gin Bar in Bath, and has since moved to Monmouth Place, where they handcraft small batch gins in their copper pot still ‘Jane’. From Botanical No. 1 Gin and the marvellously named ‘Mother’s Ruin’ to fruit gins, cocktail bitters and herbal elixirs, qualified Medical Herbalist Sue Mullett certainly keeps herself busy at her Bath-based distillery. She uses organic, local, seasonal ingredients where possible, such as hand picked wild grown Somerset Lime leaves in her No. 1 Gin, and each bottle is filled, waxed, labelled and numbered by hand. Somerset Spirit Co., Castle Cary

Based near Castle Cary, the Somerset Spirit Co. distillery produces unusual dry milk gin from locally sourced ingredients infused with a strong green ethos from grass to glass. This 100% Somerset gin is made from pure milk spirit using Red Tractor assured milk from Wyke Farms. This is combined with 14 locally sourced handpicked botanicals which are all pesticide free and diluted with water from Glastonbury. Every bottle is hand bottled and hand labelled, giving you a personal touch to your gin and tonic.
Exmoor Distillery, Dulverton

Double Gold Winners at the World Spirits Awards, John and Nicola Smith’s small batch artisan gin distillery is one to watch. In the historic town of Dulverton, they bring the spirit of Exmoor to their Somerset gins.
