One of the best things about being on holiday is not having to rush out of bed in the morning, which is why choosing bed and breakfast in Cornwall is such a luxury – what better way to start the day than with a meal that someone else has cooked?

If you do choose bed and breakfast in Cornwall you’re bound to be offered a huge range of locally sourced options for your morning meal, especially if you’re staying on one of the many working farms in the area. Fresh sausages and bacon, homemade bread, tomatoes from the garden, eggs that your children have helped to collect – this isn’t the time to watch the scales, just enjoy all that this foodie county has to offer.

Of course, bed and breakfast in Cornwall is just the start – you’ll be wanting lunch and dinner too. But don’t worry, you won’t go hungry here. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, beachside stalls and more to keep you going, whether you fancy a quick pasty on the run, an ice cream to help cool you down on a sunny day or a traditional cream tea (with Cornish clotted cream, of course).

Don’t forget to have at least one fish supper while you’re here too. Cornwall’s 275 miles of coastline (which include plenty of great family friendly and dog friendly beaches) make it an ideal spot for fishing, and you won’t have to look far to find a spot to grab a plate of crispy fish and golden chips. Or, if you want to go really traditional, a ‘stargazy pie’, made with the fish positioned so that their heads stick through the cost as if they’re watching the night sky, is definitely worth a try.

If you’re looking to treat yourself to something a little bit more high end during your stay at a bed and breakfast in Cornwall, there are plenty of celebrity chefs ready to serve you up something gourmet. Try Nathan Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen in Port Isaac (or Port Wenn, to Doc Martin fans), Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall at Watergate Bay (run by disadvantage youth personally trained by the ‘Naked Chef’) or stick with tradition at Rick Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, which has been running for an incredible 40 years.

If you’re looking for a bed and breakfast in Cornwall, you’ll be spoiled for choice. There are many lovely B&Bs to choose from, all with their own unique charm and character.

One of the great things about staying in a bed and breakfast is that you get to experience life as a local does. You can chat with the owners over breakfast about what’s going on in the area, and they’ll be sure to give you some recommendations for things to do during your stay. At a bed and breakfast, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the local knowledge that the owners have accumulated over years of living in the area and they can they provide helpful advice on places to visit and restaurants to try out.
