Deer Park Farm is a 280 acre family-run beef, sheep and arable farm set in the peaceful Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall, with stunning views across to Dartmoor.

Set in the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site and steeped in history, it was formerly owned and farmed by HRH Prince Charles, Duke of Cornwall, and dates back to the 14th century when it was an ancient Royal Deer Park.

We have two self-catering cottages sympathetically converted from traditional stone barns, or for a holiday with a difference, stay at Tamar Valley Tipis at Deer Park Farm.

Roe Cottage is all on one level and sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms (a triple room with double and single bed, plus a further single bedroom). Fallow Cottage is a two storey cottage that sleeps up to five in two bedrooms (a triple room with double and single bed, plus a further twin bedroom).

You are welcome to watch the many farming activities throughout the seasons including lambing in springtime and harvest in autumn. Explore a variety of beautiful walks and trails in the area, discover abundant wildlife, rare orchids and butterflies, fantastic country pubs, Dartmoor National Park and many local attractions. Why not try salmon fishing or canoeing on the River Tamar?

We are really keen to help visitors learn about British agriculture and the countryside. We have an education centre where you can read all about Deer Park Farm, its history and the wildlife that shares the countryside with us, and we would be delighted to answer any questions you have.

As this is a working farm, no pets please, however a recommended pet hotel is available one mile away.
