Feast on the Beach at Studland Bay
1 July 2016
This regular foodie event is the place to get a real taste of Dorset. This month it’s ‘Crab & Lobster & Chip feast’, with a choice of spider crab gratin or local dressed lobster served with wood fired garlic chips (there’s a vegetarian option too), followed by either Eton Mess, lemon posset or strawberries and cream. For an extra £10 you can add a 30 minute powerboat ride and explore the beautiful Studland Bay before you eat.
Sunset Party in the Park

Take an evening trip to Marwell Zoo and find out what the animals get up to once after hours. There’ll be talks about your favourite animals, an activity obstacle course and soft play for little ones and unmissable entertainment in the for of fire jugglers, interactive African drumming and a lively Mexican band. Chickerell Steam and Vintage Show

Chickerell Steam and Vintage Show is a great day out, not only for steam lovers but the whole family too. Split over two days, it features a local food market as well as family friendly entertainment including live music from the likes of Weymouth Ukeleleans and Dorset Phil, and a Punch and Judy show for the little ones.
Sunday Scone Fest

You can’t visit the South West without having at least one cream tea, and what better setting than beautiful Brownsea Island, famed for its wildlife, including rare birds and red squirrels. The Villano Cafe will be hosting the Sunday Scone Fest, with a variety of sweet and savoury scones on offer, and live music for that festive atmosphere.
Swanage Jazz Festival

Set on the beautiful Purbeck peninsula, Swanage Jazz Festival is one of the best place to hear everything from New Orleans and Dixieland jazz to swing and modern mainstream sounds. This year’s line up includes a mix of well-known names and new kids on the block. plus there will also be five school bands performing.
Poole Goes Vintage

Dress up in your finest vintage gear and step back in time for a day of live music and entertainment at the historic Poole Quay. There will be a chance to glam up with face painting, glitter tattoos and hair wraps from Diamond Faces, then why not join in with a Lindy Hop dance session? Vintage car displays and a vintage market complete the line up.
Summer Breeze on the Quay

Kicking off a six week series of spectacular summer fireworks, this free event on Poole Quay will feature live music from acts including Karl Lattimer, Tara Flanegan and the Latin party rhythms of Solatin. The entertainment continues with hula hoop workshops, street entertainers and a bouncy castle, before the firework finale over Europe’s largest natural harbour.
