Pollaughan Farm Holiday Cottages are stylish, luxurious holiday cottages on our farmstead in the tranquil Roseland Peninsula near Portscatho and St Mawes in Cornwall.
The perfect escape for busy parents or couples to relax and unwind, our 5 star Gold barn conversions and 4 star farmhouse are surrounded by 22 acres of farm, meadows and lakes.
Our 5 star Gold cottages have lovely views of lakes and meadows. All have light, spacious, open plan living areas and a safe fenced garden and patio.
‘Meadows’ and ‘Willows’ both sleep 6 + cot in three bedrooms (6ft super kingsize doubles or twins) with an ensuite and family bathroom and are wheelchair friendly.
‘Fallow’ is an upside down house to make the most of the views across the fields towards the sea and sleeps 4 + cot in two en-suite bedrooms (6ft super kingsize beds or twins).
4 star ‘Farmhouse’ is a spacious and completely self contained wing of our Victorian farmhouse. Because it’s been here for such a long time, it has real soul and is loved by all. There’s a cosy lounge with piano and open fire, kitchen/diner and walled garden with patio. It sleeps 5 + cot in 3 bedrooms with 6ft super king, twin and single beds.
All Pollaughan Farm Holiday Cottages have free Wi-Fi access, toys and books for little ones, and books, maps, the dvd stock list and games for the grown ups. We can provide a ride-on toy and a mini trampoline for the garden as well as wooden cots, highchairs and three wheeler pushchairs.
Fresh flowers and a complimentary fruit bowl or cream tea will be ready for your arrival at Pollaughan Farm Holiday Cottages. And if it’s a special occasion, Valerie can even make you a birthday cake! She can also deliver freshly cooked meals to your cottage at a time to suit, including arrival day suppers, homemade cakes, yummy desserts and the famous ‘full monty breakfast platter’; complete meals fresh from the Aga and brought to your door, hot and ready to eat.
Good job there’s an all weather tennis court to help you work off all that indulgence!
We love our little farm. Easter time brings new born lambs and you might be lucky enough to see one born, an interesting talking point with toddlers! Children love joining in on the daily animal feeding and egg collecting.
You might spot donkeys, swalllows, dragonflies, newly hatched ducklings and goslings, buzzards, kestrels, barn and tawny owls, badgers, foxes, and even the odd visiting deer. While away time at Pollaughan Farm Holiday Cottages by our wildlife lakes and absorb the peace.
Nearby you can explore the beautiful sandy coves and spectacular beaches and discover the Fal River on boat trips. Our nearest beach and the coast path are just 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk across the fields from Pollaughan. Sailing, windsurfing and kayaking hire and tuition can all be arranged locally for children and adults too.
Portscatho is a mile away from Pollaughan Farm Holiday Cottages and has an excellent village shop with in-house bakery, off-licence and newsagents as well as a good selection of seasonal fruit and veg, local cheeses and fresh fish (when is season). There is also a butchers, two pubs and a post office in the village as well as a variety of lovely galleries.
