Leone and Brian welcome you to Riscombe Farm self catering cottages in the heart of Exmoor National Park, close to the coast.
Relax beside the river Exe on our 300 year old farm. Although Riscombe Farm is no longer a working farm, you can come and meet our friendly ponies, sheep, lambs, goats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs.
Stroll through our woods (covered in bluebells in May) and riverside meadows, or play table football, pool or darts in the games room.
Riscombe Farm’s four charming cottages are converted from stone barns beside an attractive courtyard. Sleeping two to six people, with lovely character features including exposed beams and cosy log fires. Full central heating throughout from our biomass boiler. Everything included – no added extras!
We can provide a cot, high chair and stairgate for families with young children, and Fern Cottage is ideal for the partially mobile as it is all on one level and you can park right outside.
Our nearby pretty village of Exford has two good dog friendly pubs, a village general store incorporating a Post Office, plus a 1950s theme tea room! Exmoor Stores in the village can deliver a basket of provisions for your arrival.
Perfect for an active holiday exploring the valleys, moors and the nearby spectacular coast, fishing or riding. Riscombe Farm has secure cycle storage for your bike, or you can hire bicycles locally (including electric bicycles to make the hills easier). Laundry and drying room available!
Bring your horse on holiday to Exmoor and enjoy some of the best riding in England! DIY livery available in 6 loose boxes, with a secure, heated, well-equipped tack room with hot and cold water.
Riscombe Farm is an excellent base to explore the countryside, with long and short rides in all directions, and we can provide you with ride route maps.
Riscombe Farm is surrounded by trees and so close to the river Exe you can hear it rushing by. This idyllic country escape, with its 4* self-catering cottages, is perfect for walkers, cyclists and stargazers, and is fully animal friendly - you can even stable your horse.
