The Olde House has a great choice of holiday cottages on our 500 acre working farm in the pretty village of Chapel Amble, close to the North Cornwall coast.
Flexible accommodation to suit all party sizes; whether you are a couple, family or large group, the Olde House will be able to accommodate you.
We have 31 cottages sleeping 2 to 8 at Penpont Farm, and 5 cottages sleeping 2 to 8 in and around Chapel Amble. All on-site cottages have free Wi-Fi.
The Olde House has a leisure centre with an indoor heated swimming pool, toddlers pool, sauna, whirlpool bath, full size snooker table, darts and colour TV. Outside there are two tennis courts.
Children love the outdoor adventure playground and a farm trail, indoor playbarn with ballpool, wendy house, climbing ropes and slides, and the pets corner.
Here at Penpont Farm, we have a flock of 750 sheep that lamb in two parts. Our winter lambs start at the begining of November and continue through until a week before Christmas. The second flock lamb in March and April. Once we start, there will be a constant stream of baby lambs being born both day and night.
Our new bird hide overlooks our wetlands/marshes and is just at the end of Walsmley Bird Sanctuary, which is nationally important for wintering waders and wildfowl.
The Olde House is just a stone’s throw away from the coast and only moments from Wadebridge and the Camel Estuary. Our local pub, The Maltsters Arms, is a two minute stroll from the Olde House – family friendly and popular with locals, it’s a great place to eat.
Nearby are the sandy beaches at Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath, ideal for all the family, for surfing, sailing, swimming and golf. Have fun cycling the Camel Trail or walking the coastal path. We’re also only a short drive to the spectacular Eden Project.
We can arrange archery, clay pigeon shooting and falconry on site at The Olde House. We can also arrange activities nearby including surfing, kayaking, coasteering, water skiing, golf, horse riding, boat trips, paint ball and go-karting.
The Olde House Surf Club runs every morning during school holidays and half-terms and is open to children aged 6 and above (under 6’s can still join in but must be accompanied by an adult). At the Surf Club your child will learn to surf safely whilst having fun and meeting other children in a friendly, safe and relaxed atmosphere.
If you have an electric car, you can charge it for free from the power generated by our solar panels.
The Olde House, an extensive working farm on the north Cornwall coast, boasts 30 self-catering cottages, both on the farm and in the neighbouring village of Chapel Amble. There’s plenty for the children to do, with animals to meet, an indoor pool, adventure playground, farm trail and bird hide.
