Beautiful, secluded Westermill Farm Holidays Camping is a traditional campsite with fields for tents and dormobiles beside a sparkling, shallow river in the heart of Exmoor National Park.
Westermill Farm Holidays Camping is nestled in a beautiful valley, on mown meadows beside the river Exe, where you can bathe, paddle or fish (not coarse fishing). There are fantastic views, natural spring drinking water and free hot showers. Most of our visitors come here to enjoy the peace and quiet, to relax and unwind.
You can camp in mown meadows beside the River Exe, making this a children’s paradise; they adore playing in the river, fishing with nets and making dams while you relax by your tent. Westermill Farm Holidays Camping is at the heart of an International Dark Sky Reserve, so we are ideally located for some excellent stargazing; you just need to look up on a clear night!
We have four waymarked walks around our 500 acre traditional working hill farm, and Westermill Farm is in the centre of Exmoor National Park, making this a fantastic base for exploring north Devon and Somerset.
Watch sow with piglets, lambs in fields, Aberdeen Angus cattle and the hens around the farmyard.
Our little shop is open for an hour each morning and evening from the last May bank holiday to early September. A local master baker delivers bread and cakes, and we stock fresh local milk and free range eggs. You’ll also find fruit and vegetables, basic provisions, household toiletries and of course, marshmallows.
Try some of our homegrown, free range lamb, pork and award winning beef, which is slowly reared on the grassy hills of Exmoor and hung and butchered in a traditional manner that reflects in its wonderful taste and texture. Bring your own barbecue and sample some Westermill meat; we try to stock meat ideal for barbecues and camping breakfasts such as burgers, sausages, bacon and steaks.
